About
John Gleason has called the coastal range west of Paso Robles home for more than three decades. In 2010, after twenty years of witnessing the area transition into one of the most celebrated wine grape growing and winemaking geographies in the world, he decided to work on creating his own style and interpretation of the fruit from our "sweet part of the planet".
Collaborating with a number of local growers and winemakers, and focusing on small lot Rhone Blends, Two Moons strives to be a reflection and celebration of our incredible terrior. Untilizing fine fruit and neutral cooperage, we focus on blending for balance and complexity.
The Two Moons label's genesis stems from witnessing the moon and it's reflection as it set over the Pacific on a still evening.
The wines are named for human conditions, emotions, or states of being. Each name, like each wine, is subject to an individual's interpretation. The Grenache based blend is always Angst, the Mourvedre based blend is Ardor, the Syrah blend is Quandary. We hope you enjoy each and every one of them. Namaste!
